Year 1 had a great Science lesson outside planting some sunflower seeds. They have been learning about the different parts of a plants and what a plant needs to grow.

We had a wonderful day of workshops with Tom from The Happy Puzzle Company. We enjoyed solving lots of puzzles and learned that sometimes we might solve puzzles differently from other people. We also learned all about perseverance, how to take turns, to listen to others and to never give up!

Inspired by Book Week, the Eco Council decided it would be a great idea for everyone to donate books they no longer need to children who are less fortunate. We were thrilled by the amount of books you all kindly donated and on Wednesday, the Children’s Book Project collected all of your generous donations. The Eco Council helped load the van with the books proud to be able to help others as well as helping the environment by reusing.

To celebrate World Book Day, Ashton House Prep School had a fun filled week which was centred around reading. As well as taking part in many competitions, we held our annual Character Parade.
